The food was great, but the service.. ehh moderate at best. It's never good to have to remind a waiter of something more than once.. especially when it's a dead weekday.

I’ve been here several times throughout the years and everything has been ordinary- no wow factors but also nothing to complain about. However, last night was possibly the worst experience I have ever been a part of in any restaurant, ever. We had a party of about 25-30 people following a wedding rehearsal, so reservations/ arrangements were made very far in advance. To begin, when the waitresses took our drink orders, we were told they were out of Bud Light. Immediately I couldn’t help but think this was strange to have a restaurant with a bar, knowing a large party was coming in well in advance, to not have something so simple as that kind of beer. In the course of the evening, they also ran out of Miller Lite- again, very strange, especially considering our party was drinking a variety of beers/ wines/ cocktails. Same thing happened with a craft beer on tap. Then when some of us switched to draft beer, the beer was incredibly flat, but we were basically out of options so we went with it.

Dinner was fairly ordinary, as I feel their food always has been, but everyone enjoyed themselves. We thought it was a nice touch that they brought out additional appetizer orders for the tables. Dinner in total took about 2.5 hours and once the entrees were cleared we all took time for toasts and the bride and groom gave gifts, took pictures, etc, which took some time. Then, over a half hour after entrees and after about half of the party had left thinking it was over, the wait staff brought out a “cake”. I use the term cake so loosely as it looked like someone let a small child frost and decorate it. We’re not a picky/ high-class bunch, but I have never seen anything like that. And again, keep in mind, this comes out a half hour after dinner and people have already left.

But the absolutely unbelievable part came at the end when the bill came. The parents of the groom hosted the dinner and were responsible only for food. Food that they went over pricing with months prior with the owners. Well, the bills comes and it is SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS more than they were told at time of booking. Naturally, they asked to speak with the manager (who is also an owner) and they were told that their prices increased in the time since they booked, so they tacked on several dollar up-charges per person, without any warning or courtesy call prior to the dinner. This is incredible to me to just do something like this- who practices business like that? Then on top of that, the extra appetizers were charged separately and the toddler cake that came out 30 minutes after the meal was an additional $65. The bride, groom, and groom’s parents were understandably upset about the extreme difference in price that was originally agreed upon. Then, to make matters worse, the owner begins to berate the wait staff, somehow trying to blame all of this on them, directly in front of all of us! She even said that she would take the difference out of their tip money- again, in front of us! Our servers were literally the only redeeming part of the entire experience, and I was both horrified by the way this woman spoke to them in front of customers, and mortified for them that they had to be subjected to that type of disrespect in general.

I will never, ever return to this place. With so many other great restaurants in the area, there is zero need to support one with sub-par food, questionable business practices, and clearly a complete lack of respect for their staff. This was a surreal experience, one that kept the bride and groom and their family from enjoying what should have been a beautifully memorable night, and I truly hope that people are deterred from this business after reading this review.
